Workgroups

Definition of a Workgroup: Two or more individuals who function as a team, independent from the Coalition, and are interdependent in achieving a common goal. Workgroups will report back to Coalition Staff & Members on a monthly basis. Current workgroups are:

Executive Workgroup oversees operations, budget, and overall performance of the entire Coalition.

Policy Workgroup is focused on outreach to stakeholders, researching current policies related to drugs and alcohol, and recommending adoption of new or amended policies. This group serves as the voice of ADAPT and the community regarding improvements in local and County policies.

Youth Leadership Workgroup is made up of professionals, youth, youth leaders, and mentors focused on outreach to peer leaders and local youth groups [i.e., Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD)], and the planning/implementation of projects and activities to engage local youth in positive alternative activities.

Data Collection Workgroup is responsible for ADAPT’s data-related work, including data collection, analysis, compilation, and dissemination.

Training Workgroup focuses on providing training and educational opportunities for Coalition members and community members (i.e., alcohol vendors, local pharmacists).

Applicable sub-committees will be created based on the needs of the Coalition and each particular Workgroup.
