  • Did you know that the #1 cause of death for youth between the ages of 15-19 years of age in the US are teen driving deaths either as a teen driver or a passenger driven by a teen? Scotch Plains-Fanwood SADD chapter supported by DCH Teen Safe Driving Foundation is working to change that.

They are sponsoring a one-day Train the Trainer session of Impact Teen Drivers on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS. This nationally recognized, evidence-based prevention program, is designed to increase awareness of Graduated Driver Licensing Laws and their importance among teens and their parents. Please find the attached flier for this ***FREE*** training to promote teen safe driving.

Typically attendees to this training are driver’s ed, health, and physical education teachers, private driving school instructors, SADD advisers, school administrators, municipal, county, and state law enforcement, injury prevention staff at health bureaus and hospitals, and of course, parents. Attendees will leave the training armed with knowledge, toolkits, and resources to promote safe driving in their communities. Follow-up support for presentations within a year is also provided.” See Attachment section below.
