Local Events/Resources:


FAMILYConnections serves Essex and surrounding counties with 35 behavioral health programs for all ages, helping people overcome major challenges including domestic violence, mental illness, addiction, trauma, and poverty. Funds raised from “A Taste of NJ’s Best” will support these services and deliver hope and a second chance for local children and families.

NJ invites all LGBTQ youth and straight allies attending public high school in Newark to the 2017 Youth Summit. The event will take place on May 19, 2017 from 9am-2pm on the campus of Rutgers University Newark. The summit will focus on reducing trauma among LGBTQ youth. Our Keynote Speaker will be Jane Clementi with the Tyler Clementi Foundation. The event is FREE but RSVP is required. Teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators can RSVP for students by emailing HMI: NJ Program Coordinator, Alayne Rosales at [email protected].
